HBO Sets Premiere Dates for Final Season of 'The Newsroom', Two Other Shows

Wondering when The Newsroom -- which has been a summer drama series for the past two seasons -- would return for its third and final season? Well, HBO has finally spilled the details, along with premiere dates for two other anticipated returns.

The final season of The Newsroom, the second season of Getting On, and the long-awaited return of The Comeback are all scheduled to debut on the same night: Sunday, November 9th.

Aaron Sorkin’s The Newsroom will kick things off as the premiere of its six-episode farewell season will lead at 9:00 PM, followed by The Comeback at 10:00 PM. The comedy, which returns for an eight-episode season, stars Lisa Kudrow as a washed-up actress, which should make for an interesting pairing as its time slot partner is a comedy set in a hospital's geriatric extended care wing. The critically-acclaimed Getting On returns for its second season in the 10:30 PM slot, immediately following The Comeback, making Sunday nights this fall an interesting mixture of comedy and drama on HBO. Should be a fun time.
