Hawaii Five-0 - Powa Maka Moana - Recap

The team is called when they get news of a party cruise getting hijacked. A group kids partying in the sun are kidnapped and held for ransom. The driver of the boat is killed and his co captain is the only one who got away by hiding below deck. They try to do whatever they can to get these kids back alive and for Steve that means using a grenade to blow up someone's shop for answers. Seriously, how much immunity does he have??

When trying to answer the questions of anxious parents, they disagree. Most of them want to just pay the ransom to get their children back but Steve tries to get them to calm down and let them handle it. One father doesn't listen and pays them anyway. His kid ends up dead. It's a really sad scene and depressed me for most of the night. They find out the kids were targeted and put on the boat so that they could be kidnapped. Rich parents were the tip off.

The kidnapper makes one last call to Steve for the money. This time, he wants the girl who got away to do it. They send her in and it turns out it was her and her boyfriend all along. I kind of wish I hadn't figured this out in the first 10 minutes of the show but the guest stars were a big giveaway.
