Hawaii Five-0 - Po'ipu - Recap

The team are tapped this week to protect someone new. Only this time, it's a dictator from another country. Danno isn't too happy about being paid to protect and possibly get shot for a dictator. He's even less happy when Steve's smug buddy he used to fight with in uniform shows up. Someone's a little jealous. They start investigating the death of someone who knew about an assassination attempt against the dictator. He's killed by a gorgeous ex CIA member and the team tries to track her down

They end up in a gunfight with her, chasing her down a crowded street. It's pretty intense and I'm not expecting it at all when she gets taken out by a trolley. Guess they won't be able to interrogate her. While transferring Mr. Dictator to a secure location, Kono gets a call that Steve's friend is in on the assassination attempts. Things get crazy fast when he's discovered. A car blows up, some more gun fights (why does Chin always use a shotgun?) and the team retreats back to Steve's house to hide the dictator.

Steve's friend is smart and clones Steve's phone so he can't call for help. He has his boys comes in like a swat team and surround the house in order to get to the dictator. Steve ends up fighting one on one with the friend he helped train. It's sort of poetic. Steve prevails in the end by putting a couple bullets in his former friend. After the fight, we get one of my favorite quotes from the show so far.

Danno: You need to do a better job picking your friends.
Steve: Tell me about it, I picked you didn't I?
