Hawaii Five-0 - Palekaiko - Recap

The team investigates when a woman is discovered in a remote section of the island showing signs of abduction. She has no memory of what happened but they're able to find out she's on her honeymoon and her new husband was killed. They interview her mother in law for clues and wonder if this is a case of a murdering gold digger. Chin rules that out when he discovers an adjoining room in their hotel suite shows that someone pumped gas into the room.

Dr. Max is back to help Kono and Chin with their evidence. In between he mentions he makes pickles in old specimen jars. Ugh. I hope he washed them first. He notices similarities in the details of the case Chin tells him. He goes on unsolved crime message boards in his spare time and remembers a newlywed serial killer that matches. They put the details together and map out his next move to a cruise ship. They tail him before he can get his next victim but he jumps from the ship. He's not about to run without finishing what he started so he stalks his next couple, grabs the girl and ends up on a high speed chase with Steve and Danno. They chase him to a cliff where he holds the girl with a knife. Steve and Danno distract him with their bromance bickering and Steve shoots him. Unfortunately for them, he falls off the cliff.

Chin helps Steve investigate the clues that Steve's dad left behind for him to figure out. Chin calls in some favors and discovers one of the clues is an old case number. Steve tells him he date matches the date his mother was in an accident. Chin reveals the disturbing news that it wasn't an accident report, but a homicide and that his father may have been investigating her murder.
