Hawaii Five-0 - Pahele - Recap

The gang is enlisted to help when a couple of kidnappers take an entire bus of kids hostage. I feel like I saw this exact plot on an episode of Walker Texas Ranger. The kidnappers want a bunch of cocaine that was previously taken from them by the police.

They are able to track down the bus but it's empty. Steve is forced to hand over the drugs in a drop off van. The van explodes because someone else wanted the evidence destroyed. Because they're not getting their drugs anytime soon, they start to bury the kids in the bus. Danny would never let that happen. With his hair all fluffy, they save the kids and kill the bad guys.

Joe is forced to leave the military because of his actions in saving Steve from North Korea. Joe isn't perturbed. He wants to open up a bar. Will everyone know his name? Joe starts to question some old friends of Steve's to find out how much Wo Fat knows about Shellburne. Whatever that is. Hey look! It's the hot guy from The Event. Shellburne is a person apparently. Joe picks up the phone after he leaves Steve and..WHAT?? Is Joe BAD? "Steve is getting too close. We have to move you."

Wait. WHAT? Who is Joe talking to? Is there a twist that will hopefully keep him a good guy? Why go to the trouble of rescuing Steve from North Korea and help him get closer to this mystery person only to betray him? Wouldn't it be awesome if he was talking to Steve's dad?
