Hawaii Five-0 - Ka Hakaka Maika'i - Recap
Tonight's episode had a shirtless Steve opening scene. Best opening scene in awhile? I think so. Steve is participating in a charity MMA fight to take the place of a suspect he injured. Flash to 48 hours earlier. The team is investigating a string of home invasions with the most recent one resulting in an out of place murder. Even if he got his ass kicked, Alex O'Loughlin should just be shirtless all the time.

Unless he's wearing a polo and flip flops. Which he is at the end of the episode. Joe asks an NCIS analyst to help them uncover the audio in the video of Steve's father and Wo Fat. It's an NCIS LA crossover when Kensi Blye shows up to help. She's a world champion lip reader or something and manages to determine that Steve's father asked about "Shelburn." Or Shelbern. Or Shellberne. Who knows. Steve has no idea what it means either.

But Wo Fat does. And he's clearly pissed in the video. When Joe arrives home to his apartment, Wo Fat is waiting for him. He wants to know why Joe is asking so many questions. When Joe mentions "Shelbern" Wo Fat clearly reacts and decides that it's time for Joe to die. Oh no! Joe isn't putting up much of a fight and it's paining me to watch Terry O'Quinn get his ass kicked once again. Then my heart almost shatters into a million piece when Wo Fat uses a wire to strangle Joe to death. This is like LOST all over again. I can't watch him die the same way twice! Don't do this to me!

Thankfully, Joe manages to escape. Before he can shoot to defend himself, Wo Fat disappears. Any chance he can teleport? Steve and Joe go to visit Mokoto and discover that he has been tortured and killed. Joe wants Steve to realize it's time to stop asking questions and risking innocent lives. I can't wait for Steve to beat the crap out of Wo Fat.
