Hawaii Five-0 - I Helu Pu - Recap

The episode starts off with Steve being rushed into the hospital and Lori covered in his blood. What the heck led to this international incident that has the Governor so pissed? Ryan Merriman guest stars in this episode.

A body is found at a part of the Governor's that the gang is all attending. Before they can investigate, the Governor wants them to keep it quiet. Sketchy. I miss the old Governor. But then again I just really loved the actress. After discovering a bloody room, they follow the train to the roof where a heartbroken guy is ready to fling himself off. Hey, it's Ryan Merriman! Why is he dying on everything lately? To stop him from going over, Steve grabs him and goes over the ledge with him. What the heck? In what Universe is going with him a good idea? Lucky for them both, they land on a balcony a couple floors down and they're both okay.

Ryan Merriman's character isn't the murderer. He's just a heartbroken guy who was about to get married and his girlfriend cheated on him. He's doing great in this episode. Another flashforward tells us the Governor is shutting down 5-0. What did they do that is so bad?

The Victim's sister was raped by a Russian executive and they believe the victim wanted revenge for her. The guy is hiding out at the Russian consulate where the team can't touch him. They want to try and smoke him out. Chin gets in a van loaded with hazardous (fake) material and plunges through the gates so it looks like a terrorist attack. He gets caught and is being held by the consulate. Steve and Danny chase the suspect into the street and both he and Steve are run over by a car. OMG!

They're both okay. Steve only has a busted face and some cracked ribs but he'll be back to kicking ass. They steal a blood sample from the injured suspect and are able to prove he's guilty and save their jobs. Most of them. The Governor is disappointed that Lori allowed the team to cross the line and asks her to choose which side she's on. She hands in her resignation to Steve. Is this the last we're seeing of her? I kind of like Steve's Navy girlfriend better.
