Hart of Dixie - Season 2 Episode 16 - Recap - Where I Lead Me
Here’s the recap for Season 2 Episode 16 of Hart of Dixie: “Where I Lead" on The CW!
Well, well, well.. Wade (Wilson Bethel) is in some hot water when he never comes home the night of the Battle of the Bands and Zoe (Rachel Bilson) can’t seem to find her main squeeze. The only people that ease her worrisome self are George (Scott Porter) and Tansy (Mircea Monroe) but they aren’t saying a thing, especially because they saw Wade leave with some hussy.
In a happier relationship, Wanda (Mallory Moye) and Tom (Ross Philips) decide there’s no time like the present and decide to have their wedding in just 2 days. With all the love in the air at the Rammer Jammer, leave it up to Lemon Breeland (Jaime King) to be a downer when she confronts Annabeth (Kaitlyn Black). Still feeling the sting from Annabeth’s hookup with Lavon (Cress Williams), she decides to go ahead and dissolve their catering business together.
Speaking of Lavon, he has more than relationship drama on his hands, this time is political. Mayor Ganey of Fillmore claims they are planning on building a shopping mall near the public beach to increase tourism, much to Lavon’s dislike. Knowing he needs to take legal action to stop the shopping mall from being built, he goes to George, Bluebell’s resident lawyer.
Back in the land of wedding planning, Wanda is beginning to feel the stress… literally. She is itching all over and goes to Zoe for help. At first she diagnoses it to be because of the stress of planning the wedding but once she postpones it and has the same symptoms, she knows it’s because of her mother. After asking Zoe to be her maid of honor, she sets her first task to be running interference of her mother. Zoe agrees and takes the challenge.
Since Cricket (Brandi Burkhardt) and Lemon are still on good terms, she lets Lemon know of her concern about the upcoming wedding. She is afraid of how Lemon will react having herself been left at the alter. She convinces her to go to a psychic to find out what her future holds. While there the psychic tells Lemon that the love of her life is someone she’s already met. So when she runs into Dale King from 2nd grade on the street, she invites him to dinner thinking he might be the one. At dinner things start to get weird when Dale brings up eating paste. Sensing the need for saving, Annabeth redeems their friendship by getting her out
While grabbing coffee Zoe overhears that Wade left the bar with someone else, and decides to confront him about it. With a very convincing story about a dead battery, he seems to get away with it, but something still seems fishy. Zoe has other things to worry about though as Betsey, Wanda’s mother ( Debra Jo Rupp: Kitty from That 70’s Show) goes on a rampage when it comes time to get the cake and flowers for her daughter’s upcoming nuptials. Eventually her true feelings come out and she tells Zoe she is afraid Wanda is going to suffer heartache like she did. Telling Zoe her tale of woe and how her husband cheated on her, Zoe begans to realize maybe Wade wasn’t being so honest but looks past it knowing she needed to get to the wedding.
At court George is on top after winning their case against Fillmore. Feeling all fired up he takes his aggression with him to the ceremony. Lemon takes another thing to the wedding, her best friend Annabeth, and realizes that she was the true companion the psychic was talking about all along.
Lemon and Annabeth attend the wedding together
Before the ceremony Wade feels his advice to Tom about watching the Notebook before the ceremony may have backfired. Tom is afraid that his body won’t be to Wanda’s liking. Wade eases his mind by telling him that his body isn’t what she liked in the movie, it was his honesty, and knows he needs to tell Zoe the truth. While walking down the aisle, Wade starts to tell Zoe, who already knows.
After the ceremony Wade and Zoe sit down to have a talk but it doesn’t last long as they have to get to the reception. Inside everyone is dancing and love is in the air, but George knows something is wrong when he sees Wade walk in. Making a beeline towards him, still full of the after-court fire, he is out raced by Tansy who punches Wade in the stomach. Telling Wade he is lucky it was her and not George, Wade leaves the reception.
Zoe serves as Maid of Honor for Wanda and Tom's "Star Wars" wedding
Is this really the end for Zoe and Wade? Was George’s aggression towards Wade because of his feelings for Zoe? Now that Annabeth and Lemon are back on good terms will she be able to pursue her relationship with Lavon?
