Hart of Dixie - Season 3 Episode 8 - Recap - Miracles
Here we go! The mid-season finish to The CW's Deep South sitcom/drama Hart of Dixie is here! Find out all the stuff you're going to have to wait a month and a half to see the next piece of! Don't worry, the cliffhangers aren't anything big. Whatever, just read it!
Zoe runs into her estranged family member Vivian at the convenience store when she's getting hairspray for Joel's visiting grandma. Zoe invites Viv to Hanukkah dinner, but no go. Lavon agrees to let Zoe and Joel have the dinner at his house, though, so not everything goes wrong. Then, luck lands her a patient: Her father's brother! She charms him without trying to, so he agrees to lunch. Everyone has a great time, especially Uncle Brando and Joel's Nana. Vivian runs into them and demands Uncle B come back home. Vivian accuses Zoe of manipulating the situation to curry favor with the Wilkeses. Brando escapes later though, and runs into Zoe. He asks where Joel's grandma has got to, and she hesitantly tells him. Even at the Harvest Festival, Vivian is mean to Zoe. But, Vivian runs into Wade, an old classmate. They have this weird little flirty moment and now I'm sure we'll see more of her... But probably not as much as Wade will! Anyway, Viv and Brando and Viv's kids show up for Hanukkah! Hooray! It all goes great.
Brick is distressed over his potential fatherhood from the womb of his incredibly younger ex, Shelby. Lemon says she'll determine the spawn's dad, and she enlists George's help. The crew turns up no clues, but Brick runs into Shelby and is bewitched by her all over again, making a date for the Harvest Festival. Lemon has to resort to calling Grandma Betty. Betty's reaction, though, is to tell Brick he has to marry Shelby. Then, at the Harvest Festival, Brick learns he isn't the father! Shelby went and got an anonymous sperm donor! Hooray!
Geroge and Lyndly are just getting into being an official couple. They hit the Harvest Festival and run into all of George's ex-girlfriends... and there are many. Then, when George is getting takeout (he can't make it to the Hanukah dinner because he's prepping a case), he discovers Tansie is working at the Rammer Jammer. Wuh oh! Bad times.
Tansie is back in town. She's got a job delivering summons, which she hates and takes anti-anxiety meds for the stress it causes her. She gives Wade a few so he can finally go to a dentist appointment he'd been avoiding. He, uh, takes a triple dose. He's all loopy and starts to spill his feelings. He really thinks Tansie is cool. She leaves him be for just a bit, but he's distracted by some shiny lights and wanders into a hay maze. Zoe runs into him while he wanders around high out of his mind, and he kisses her mid-sentence, full on the mouth! Oh geez!
A lot happens in this episode, but it's kind of splintered. I enjoyed it, despite the scattershot format. Usually, disparate plots on this show end up tying together somehow. Not really so much this week! It's fine though. There's not too much Joel, which is a relief! Anyway, check out the preview below. The show is off until January now, so that's all you get!
