Harry Connick, Jr. Comedy Pilot Picked Up By FOX

Harry Connick, Jr. is taking his relationship with FOX to the next level.

The newest judge on the network's American Idol is heading into comedy with a new pilot that has been picked up by the network. The new comedy stars Connick as a successful singer attempting to forge a closer relationship with his teenage daughter.

The currently-untitled project is written by Eric and Justin Stangel, veterans of CBS' Late Show With David Letterman. And the late night connection doesn't end there, as the series is being produced by David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants, in association with ABC Studios.

No word yet on when the series will enter production.
