Harrison Ford Asked to Reprise Role for 'Blade Runner' Sequel

Apparently, Harrison Ford simply can't escape his most famous roles. First, he took George Lucas and Steven Spielberg up on their plan to do another Indiana Jones movie with Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, then he signed on for Star Wars: Episode VII to reprise his role as Han Solo. Now, his latest offer is to return to one of his most popular post-Star Wars roles.

Alcon Entertainment has made an offer to Harrison Ford to reprise his role as Rick Deckard in the upcoming Ridley Scott-directed sequel to the 1982 classic Blade Runner. The sequel will be written by original screenwriters Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and will take place "several decades" after the conclusion of the first movie. While Ford has not confirmed whether he has accepted the role or not, he recently gave an interview in which he stated he was anxious to read the script for the Blade Runner sequel. So it's not exactly beyond the realm of possibility he'd accept.

Here's hoping the script is good enough to earn Ford's approval, since one would imagine he'd be vital to the success of any potential sequel.
