FOX has New Girl on its schedule, and now NBC is getting a new Guy.

Guy Pearce (Memento, Iron Man 3) has signed on for a guest-starring role on Sean Saves the World to play a new love interest for Sean Hayes's title character.

Pearce will play "a charming, thrill-seeking adventurer who Sean will do almost anything to impress." He’s scheduled to appear in the sitcom’s 15th episode, which is set to shoot in early 2014. Though the show hasn't quite been the ratings blockbuster NBC had been hoping for, the sitcom performs modestly alongside fellow comedies such as Parks and Recreation and The Michael J. Fox Show. With headline-grabbing casting decisions like this -- and the Will & Grace reunion planned for the end of the season -- NBC looks to boost the comedy's ratings. It may or may not work, but hey, at least NBC is giving it a shot.
