'Gotham' Promotes Three to Series Regulars
Gotham hasn't even premiered yet, but it's already making decisions on which actors it would like to keep around for the season ahead.
Just one week after getting picked up to series, the show has promoted three cast members to series regulars: Cory Michael Smith, Victoria Cartagena and Andrew Stewart-Jones, all of whom guest star in the pilot, will be sticking around for the season.
Smith (Olive Kitteridge) plays Edward Nygma, the future Batman villain The Riddler, whose casting was announced last month. Meanwhile, Elementary alum Cartagena plays Renee Montoya, one of several detectives in the major crimes unit of the Gotham Police Department. She is a colleague of both Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and partner Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue). Lastly, Jones plays Crispus Allen, yet another detective of the Gotham PD.
