Google Glass to ban sexually explicit material

On Monday morning, a group of developers announced the first porn app for the revolutionary new Google Glass. And now Google has officially left those guys S.O.L.
The internet/tech giant has added a new section to its developer policies for Google Glass prohibiting apps from delivering sexually explicit content.
"We don't allow Glassware content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts or sexually explicit material," reads the newest section in the developer policy. The statement goes on to threaten harsh penalties for any app featuring child pornography. In addition, Google also bans gratuitous violence, hate speech and gambling on Glass.
MiKandi, the adult app store with a relatively successful Android app store for adult-oriented apps, had hoped to expand from first-person point-of-view videos to one-on-one interactions between adults through Glass. MiKandi CEO Jesse Adams claims that over 10,000 people have visited the landing page for the porn app, and a dozen Glass owners have signed up with the app. Adams states his company made sure it was in compliance with Google Glass developer terms when it began creating the app two weeks ago, but those rules were quickly changed by Google. Thus, MiKandi plans on rolling out a new app that will exclude the forbidden content, though there are no details as for how the company plans to do this.
"Although the app is still live and people are using it, at this point we must make changes to the app in order to comply with the new policies. Expect to see changes to the application tomorrow," said Adams, in a blog post.
The connected Glass headset features a small screen above the right eye that can display web content, and while the device is still in beta mode, it's picked up considerable buzz from the general public. The device is expected to go on sale late this year or in early 2014.
