Dogs can be the source of our greatest joy. But their loss can also be one of our greatest sorrows. However, a new dog has a unique ability to help with the grief, so that the person can eventually find a way to move on.

In this video, a heartbroken woman who just buried her beloved dog is surprised by her husband with a new puppy for Christmas. Needless to say, she was positively overwhelmed. I'm sure there's a debate to be had over whether it's a great idea to buy someone a new puppy just one day after losing such a beloved pet. But the emotion here speaks volumes.
