Glen Campbell On The Decline, Will Likely Never Perform Again

It was back in 2011 that Glen Campbell announced he was suffering with Alzheimer's Disease, but he continued to perform live and release music up until comparatively recently. In April of this year, however, he was moved to a care facility, and although he is apparently in good spirits and content, there are many signs that he is on the decline mentally.

According to his wife Kim Woolen, "He can't even tune a guitar now. If I tune one and hand it to him he can still play, but not like he used to," she told People Magazine. "He can play a couple of licks here and here, and he finds joy in that."

She and their family have also decided to try and remain positive in his declining health. "There's a lot of sadness, but we just continue to try to make the best of every day and keep a sense of humor," she said.
