Glee was recently renewed for seasons 5 and 6 prompting fans to be optimistic about the show's future. However, following dwindling ratings and the shocking death of star Cory Monteith, it looks like the series has an end in mind.
Kevin Reilly did say "Never Say Never" when asked about the future of the show. Presumably if the ratings suddenly get better or a new star emerges similar to the fame Darren Criss experienced a few seasons back, they may continue on.
TVLine has the full quote:“Never say never, but… there’s two very clear arcs to get to that end and conclude [the series],” Reilly told reporters when asked about the future of Glee at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills. “If we discover a new crop of kids and there’s some breakout, who knows. But right now, we’re thinking about two seasons.”
What do you think? Should Glee end?
