'Glee' to End Series With Season 6

Ryan Murphy was out promoting his horror-drama American Horror Story when talked turned to the future of Glee, which everyone quickly learned doesn't have a future for much longer.

As Murphy himself revealed, the singing and dancing dramedy will end with Season 6 in 2015 -- assuming both seasons have a 22-episode order.

"The final year of the show, which will be next year, was designed around Rachel and Cory/Finn’s story," Murphy admitted during his talks to the media. "I always knew that, I always knew how it would end. I knew what the last shot was – he was in it. I knew what the last line was – she said it to him. So when a tragedy like that happens you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we’re figuring that out now."

However, Murphy has worked out a new ending for Glee that he also thinks will be work in the light of actor Cory Monteith's passing. "I have a good idea. I’m going to tell the studio and the network [in a week] how after Cory’s unfortunate passing we can end the show that I think is very satisfactory. And kind of in his honor, which I love."

You know, because his death hasn't been exploited enough in that tribute episode already. Le sigh.
