'Girls' Season 3 casting notice: Latinos! Alcoholics! Social Workers!

The season finale of Girls is hardly two days old, yet Lena Dunham and company are putting together a list of roles for the upcoming third season of TV's most divisive show.

According to a casting notice, which has subsequently been removed from its initial posting to the Central Casting NY page on Facebook, the third season of HBO's hit series calls for rehab patients, raising speculation that one of our "Girls" is headed to rehab. Of the patients, the casting notice called for two alcoholics (one of which must have "teased hair"), along with a "chain-smoking nurse," a "Latin maintenance-worker type," and a "Latin social-worker type").

So who's hitting up rehab? Hannah, with her OCD? Adam, with his alcoholism? Is it the suspiciously AWOL Jessa? Sure, Jemima Kirke was pregnant through most of season two, but that doesn't necessarily explain the character's absence.

Also, while the inclusion of several "Latin" types in the casting notice for this season implies a greater racial diversity going forward, anyone else think Dunham may risk a bit of a backlash by making one of the show's first Latino characters a maintenance worker? Of course, Dunham should be used to backlash by now, for better or worse. And hey, I'm Latino and I still enjoy her show, so...huzzah?

What do you think? Is Lena Dunham getting self-indulgent, or is she expanding the horizons of the show by adding a bit of racial diversity? And is one of the girls heading to rehab? Or is this just a bit of misdirection?
