'Girl Meets World' Casts the Younger Brother We Forgot Cory Had

Remember how Cory had a little brother on Boy Meets World, one to whom he gave in the series finale? No?

Eh, me either.

But Girl Meets World is doing the hard work of remembering things for us, as Cory's younger (though much older now) brother has been cast for the spinoff: Uriah Shelton, of A&E's The Glades, will star in the as Uncle Joshua, the younger brother of Cory and Eric Matthews. He's expected to be a recurring character, appearing in at least two episode.

The character of Joshua Matthews was a toddler at the end of Boy Meets World, which means he's roughly 18-years-old currently. So if you find him cute, no need to feel weird about it. Unless you're, like, 79 or something.

Girl Meets World premieres Friday, June 27 at 9:45 PM on Disney Channel. Subscribers to the network can actually watch the pilot now on WATCH Disney Channel. The rest of us, however, will just have to make do with the official trailer, the opening credits sequence, and the catchy-as-all-hell theme song. You can also check out casting news for other hot shows such as Sleepy Hollow, Suits, and the upcoming iZombie. Hopefully, this will be enough to keep our anticipation in check for a few more weeks.
