Here's a Q&A with Giglianne Braga from If I Can Dream from one of our readers Kim Fuller.

Giglianne Braga is on the cast of If I Can Dream, an on-line reality show created by Simon Fuller of American Idol fame. Gig, as she is nicknamed, is in a house of 60 plus cameras which follow the cast’s every move in the house, 24/7. Giglianne is a model "dreamer." She is in the house with Alex Lambert, musician; Ben Elliott, Actor; Kara Kilmer, Actor and two other "dreamers" who have since moved out of the house. (Justin Gaston, musician who was recently on tour with Kris Allen and is now writing in Nashville and Amanda Phillips, Actor; who was asked to leave the house in May.)

If I Can Dream can be found on www.Hulu.com or you can watch 24/7 on www.ificandream.com and has a weekly webisode released on Tuesdays.

Giglianne responded to a variety of questions via email on August 3, 2010.

Q: You have been in the Dream House now since March; it looks like activity that might help you reach your professional goals is picking up for all the Dreamers, could you describe to us, first, is your time in the dream house what you were expecting; is it harder than you thought and do you think that you are where you thought you'd be in your Dream progress?

Giglianne: Nope! I was definitely not expecting the project to be like this. This living situation is so unusual, so it’s hard to imagine what it would be like. But yes it is much harder than I thought it be, and honestly I did not think I’d be in the house for this long. Only now meeting with an agency. But it;s the way the project is taking me, and the exposure is incredible. I know great things and photo shoots; after photo shoots will always come my way.

Q: There has been some pretty intense interaction in the house; especially between you and Alex Lambert. One of them accused you of being lazy, what do you think that we dont' know about the process of becoming a model; versus being a musician or actor. What don't we see, that you cannot do in the house; that is helping you towards your goal of being a model?

Giglianne: Well, yes I’ve been accused of being lazy, but really it’s only because being a model in the house is harder than being a musician or actor. Others have things to practice on out loud and to entertain viewers. I always say, “wtf.” Am I supposed to walk down the hall way 24/7? If I did that people would complain too. So I’m left with finding entertainment on the internet. Which is always funny to know that everyone who is watching us is also on the net. Hmm let’s move on.

Q: If people outside the house who are viewers; were to describe each of the Dreamers; they might say that some are passionate; some are hard workers and that you might be an introvert. Can you describe yourself; and whether being lazy is a characteristics of yours and how does your personality style help you achieve your goal of being a model?

Giglianne: Another question about being lazy, how exciting! I have my lazy moments as we all do, but really, I have passion just as everyone else does but show it differently and people can see it as they wish. I can’t see it for them. I am learning each and every day here and unfortunately I am not so open in the house or around a large group of people, but I know that I’m a cool chick and I can only do my own way, and my goal as being a professional model will be a reality.

Q: What do you think is going to be a tangible item that is going to happen that be of making it in your dream? What is the milestone going to look like?

Giglianne: All I know, is that many more difficult times will come our way--as a character on a reality show, as well as let’s say rejections a model faces. But 5 years from now, I will look back and see all the beauty that is the past that has made me. Seriously, just looking to create with photographers and travel the years. And then besides modeling, I have many other things I will do, but for now modeling comes first!

Q: Everyone who watches if I Can Dream House would agree that you are beautiful. But something that you probably see written about you on twitter; Dream Updates and other places that the viewers blog or comment ; some have said that you are boring. Do you agree that you are boring and viewers that saw you during the visit by the Purple Melons saw a whole other side of Giglianne. What was going on that night and is that the kind of letting loose that you might normally do outside the house when it isn't camera?

Giglianne: I’ve more recently really have come to accept being a character on a show, I am incredibly fortunate to be in IICD and we all have our issues but I’ve come to just really understand that if I want to succeed I have to do it my way and not be afraid or ashamed. And people will think what they want, but at the end of the day- there are other things that matter. So if people decide that I’m boring, well they can dwell on the thought. I’m over it.

Q: You have had a number of photo shoots that have either been talked about while you are in the house or the video has been put in some of the weekly on line episodes. Those photo shoots, do you do those for money? For practice? Do develop a portfolio, or kind of where are you in terms of either putting together a portfolio or getting an agent.

Giglianne: At this point, I am not getting paid for anything I’ve done. So far I’ve been lucky to have test shoots with some of the best photographers today. All good practice and for a great portfolio. And any day now I will have an agency! Any day. I need to build my portfolio with some tears and can’t wait to start booking some nice campaigns. Calvin Klein would be awesssoooommmeee!

Q: When you get an agent; is that going to be the "end" result of becoming a model or will you still be in the house after that and what will be the final result that will tell us that your Dream has come true?

Giglianne: I really cannot say, I was not given the gift to tell my future. Let’s just all stay tuned and catch all the episodes. Tuesdays on Hulu.com.
