Gena Rowlands Honors Angelina Jolie - 2013 Governors Awards - Video

Gena Rowlands, Angelina Jolie's former co-star in the films Taking Lives and Playing By Heart, delivered an endearing speech at the 2013 Governors Awards, honoring Jolie for her humanitarian work as part of the presentation of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, which Jolie has earned this year.

The speech from Rowlands features a stirring tribute to a World War II veteran in attendance, a hero who is the subject of Jolie's newest directorial effort. The standing ovation the man receives from the audience is one of the more surprisingly emotional moments of the Governors Awards, as much as the awarding of the honorary Oscars themselves.
