GCB - Love is Patient - Recap
This week, the ladies of GCB take on love and lose in tonight's episode appropriately called "Love is Patient." This is only the third episode, and I'm already in love. Needless to say, this show peppers in some great story lines that remind me of Desperate Housewives. At times, it is a tad over-the-top ridiculata supreme, but I'm OK with that. It is Kristin Chenoweth, after all.

With Cupid's bow at the forefront of tonight's episode, Amanda continues to struggle with coping the infidelity and loss of her money-grubbing husband. Her mother, Gigi, decides it is time for her daughter to dip her toe back into the lover's pool--which she thinks that can be done by going to the opera. Amanda rejects her mothers plans, but agrees to go to a Christian singles group at the church.
Carlene--played by Kristin Chenoweth--is the devil in disguise. After a "horny blogger" allegedly leaves a comment on her highly talked about website, she begins to worry about her husband. She finds it hard to get her husband's "flag to fly." This sends her into a whirlwind of provocative Biblical costumes and role play with her husband Ripp.

Ripp is preoccupied as he has his sights set on Bill--Amanda's dead husband. We find out that Ripp was, well, ripped off in a scam. Now, he must find out exactly what Bill did, and the only way to do that is to crack Amanda like a pinata. Go figure, that becomes the revelation of the episode.
Sharon--whose husband kissed Amanda in a previous episode--is reinvigorated to stomp on the snake. With a mouth full of venom herself, she confronts her Booty-licious nemisis. "You can start by keeping away from my man," she declares. She doesn't want to be taken down by a low woman...and then gets taken out by a fellow booty coming from the ceiling.

After much deliberation and some super hot chili, Sharon grows a pair and confronts Zach about his lip lock with Amanda. He's not sure if this is the life he really wanted. He never dreamed this would be the life for him, but is committed that she was always by his side. When asked if she could ever forgive him, she says her glory days just might be ahead of her. Oh snap, girl!
Heather finds herself struck by Cupid's arrow. She takes on an old friend as a client, Andrew Remington. He's rich and she wants to sink her teeth into his man meat. Well, by the end, she does get a nice hot make out session.
Meanwhile, during the singles interactive group, all hell breaks loose. All the singles are broken into different groups. There's a group for divorcees and another for those who've never been fortunate enough to know marriage. Carlene approaches Blake--the closeted gay man--about his lack of performance with some Christian-for-the-bedroom instruction books.
Blake's wife (Cricket) has been hooking up with her Tae Kwon Do instructor on the side. Cricket then confronts Blake and he reveals that he's worried that everyone will find out what he likes to do with his ranch hands.

Ripp continues to poke and prod Amanda for details. As part of the divorcee group, they all write down secrets, stuff them in a pinata, and hit them with sticks. The point is to free themselves from their past. Just before Amanda is about to work out her frustration, Ripp pulls the fire alarm.
All the pinatas get scattered and Ripp ends up with Amanda's. As he flips through the colorful notes, he realizes that perhaps Bill concocted the ultimate con game. Maybe he didn't die after all?
BILL MIGHT BE ALIVE!
