Gary Barlow confirmed as X Factor UK judge

Gary Barlow has replaced Simon Cowell on the judging panel of The X Factor in the UK. Cheryl Cole's replacement has yet to be named. Simon and Cheryl left the show to join the panel of the US version of The X Factor which will hold auditions in front of an audience this weekend.

TAKE That star GARY BARLOW was yesterday hired as a judge for this year's X Factor - alongside veteran LOUIS WALSH.

Gary, 40, will replace SIMON COWELL, who's off to front the US version.

Louis, 58, returns for his seventh year.

Last night a source said: "Louis has been told he's back - and Gary is now a definite.

"Gary knows the business inside and out. If anyone could replace Simon, it's him."

The Sun can reveal that Destiny's Child star KELLY ROWLAND, 30, is in talks for the job vacated by CHERYL COLE, who is joining Simon in the US.

Aussie DANNII MINOGUE, 39, has been invited back but has yet to sign up.
