'Galaxy Quest' Television Show Reportedly in Development

Remember the 1999 science-fiction comedy Galaxy Quest? Well your favorite Star Trek parody may be reborn as a television series.

According to Deadline, Paramount Television is hard at work on turning the DreamWorks film into a small screen format, making the premise even more meta. By Grabthar's hammer!

In the movie (which starred Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub and Sam Rockwell), the cast of a retired science fiction series finds themselves in the middle of an intergalactic battle after an alien species mistakes their show for a documentary.

A very young Justin Long was also there as a super fan in his first role in a feature film.

Perhaps the show will be about the later revival teased at the end of the 1999 film? Spoilers?
