Gail Simmons Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Top Chef judge Gail Simmons has given birth to a baby girl whom she and her husband Jeremy Abrams have named Dahlia Rae.

We imagine her birth went a little something like this: Dahlia Rae, please pack up your placenta and go.

Simmons rep confirmed the news, revealing that, "Dahlia weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz. Mother, father and baby are doing wonderfully."

This is the first baby for Simmons who kept the pregnancy a secret while filming the newest season of Top Chef, Top Chef: New Orleans.

"The chefs didn't know I was pregnant," she admitted to USA Today back in September. "I was very newly pregnant when we shot and it was no one's business. And I wasn't showing so it didn't matter. It really wasn't an issue. I was worried it would be, but it wasn't a problem."
