'Frozen' Will Also Be a Disney Ice Show

In addition to being a successful Oscar-winning film, a record breaking movie, a series of sold-out merchandise, an upcoming Broadway play, a sing-along and a Once Upon a Time tie-in, Disney's hit Frozen will also be an ice show!

The show itself is set to begin touring arenas in September (starting in Orlando, Florida for obvious reasons) and will feature the popular Disney park characters skating around.

And unlike some other ice shows, this one will actually make sense. Except when it's summer time in the plot.

To bring the show to life, 39 performers will be required and fans can expect "a blizzard created by 20 snow machines, a stage inspired by a six-sided snowflake and towering video projection panels that, among other things, would simulate the movie’s jagged North Mountains."

Sounds amazing!

As for the reasoning behind the show, according to Disney's chief executive Robert A. Iger, "[Frozen] is definitely up there in terms of our top, probably, five franchises. So you can expect us to take full advantage of that over the next five years, I would guess."

No worries though, the ice show team is hard at work "creating the show with all of the heart, humor and beauty of Frozen that audiences fell in love with."

Tickets go on sale this Tuesday!
