'Friends' reunion rumors shot down by co-creator

Despite recent rumors online to the contrary, "Friends" won't be there for NBC.

Series co-creator Marta Kauffman says there is absolutely no truth to the rumor, circulated online over the last several days, that the cast is reuniting for an 11th season.

The comedy, which ran from 1994 to 2004, was among the most successful shows of its era, launching the careers of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, to name a few. The series was key to NBC's overwhelming success, the likes of which they haven't seen since. NBC, for its part, has also shot down talk of a reunion, definitively stating that the rumors are "not true," which is a shame for the network, since they really could have used this. It hasn't exactly been their day, their week, their month or even their year.
