Francis Manapul at New York Comic Con 2010 NYCC

I met Flash artist Francis Manapul at New York Comic Con 2010 today!

I lined up hoping to commission some art work but there were a lot of guys in front of me. I managed to talk to him about 10 minutes before closing (I waited for two and a half hours) and he sketched CJ my puppy for me! I will come back tomorrow (and wait again) for the commissions I plan to get: Legion of Super-Heroes Timberwolf and Wildfire.

I was so happy because Francis recognized me from Twitter. OMG. That was crazy. The artist of the Flash knew me! I told him that I hoped, maybe one day CJ can get a "cameo" in the background in a future Flash comic.

His girlfriend Agnes Garbowska was also very nice to me, as I waited at the end of the line. She gave me a sign to hold warning people that they may not be seen because of time constraints.

I also met this guy in line whose name I don't know -- because apparently, you just talk for people for 2 hours without knowing their names. LOL. He'll be back tomorrow or Sunday as well.

Hopefully, I'll have really cool superhero artwork from Francis Manapul tomorrow, but for now, I have CJ sketch from the artist of the Flash! So excited.

Oh yeah, NYCC is pretty much geek heaven right now, and I'm just three blocks from it.
