FramesDirect.com scamming Danny Gokey fans to buy glasses

So it was a scam after all! MJ from MJ's Big Blog just confirmed that FramesDirect.com's promo for selling "Danny Gokey Glasses" was not affiliated with Danny Gokey, and the fansite DannyGokeyGear could not verify their relationship with Danny.

I think Danny should read blogs more - everyone reported this a few days ago. This multi-million dollar company was clearly using his image without permission to sell products! He could still sue them right? For... money, money, money!

FramesDirect.com now updated their page with this disclaimer:

"Please Note: This is not a direct partnership with Danny Gokey but instead we are providing FramesDirect.com customers with a selection of eyeglasses worn by Danny Gokey on American Idol. FramesDirect.com will donate 50% of our profits from any sales of products listed on this page between May 24th 2009 and July 21st 2009 to Sophia's Heart Foundation."
