Fox to order more 'American Idol' with or without Simon Cowell
American Idol Season 9 is definitely on -- the buzz about the show is back featuring none other than Simon Cowell.
The Hollywood Reporter says that "Fox is near a deal to order more seasons of "American Idol" -- with or without its most popular judge, Simon Cowell."
No official announcement yet, but people are talking about the possibility of an Simon-less American Idol after Tony Cowell's podcast this week.
I think ultimately, Simon Cowell may have to compromise. After seeing what happened to Paula Abdul after she left the show this Summer -- and her not getting anything comparable in return -- Simon might want to remain visible on the #1 show on TV, up until his new show the X Factor gains ground in the U.S. Simon Cowell on 2 shows in 2011? I'll take it.
X Factor U.S. is all but certain now, it's just a matter of when.
