FOX Reduces 'Dads' Episode Order
Could the 2013-2014 broadcast season's next cancellation be on the way?
FOX is reducing its back order for freshman comedy Dads.
After gifting the comedy series a back-nine order in October, FOX has cut down the season by three episodes, bringing the full episode total to 19 as FOX re-evaluates its cluttered midseason schedule.
This comes not long after the news that Dads, from executive producer Seth MacFarlane, would be temporarily shelved alongside The Mindy Project at midseason, with Glee taking over on Tuesdays at 8:00 PM ET starting February 25.
Though Dads has not been canceled, it is the weakest ratings performer among new FOX programs this year. An episode reduction is the first step at stemming the loss, but the ax might not be far behind.
