After 25 years on the air, FOX has canceled primetime's longest-running reality show, Cops.

The series had long been on the bubble with FOX, owing to generally poor ratings. The network had announced last year that it would not be moving forward with a 26th season, prompting producers to begin searching for a new home for the law enforcement reality show.

And now the series has found that new home, as Spike TV is stepping in and taking over the Cops brand. Season 26 of Cops will premiere this fall.
