We've long known that Jack Bauer would be coming back in May. But now we have a day to go with the month.

FOX has announced its 12-episode event series, 24: Live Another Day, will premiere with a special two-hour episode on Monday, May 5.

The limited series, which centers on Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) as he attempts to stop a terror attack in London, will then settle into its regular time slot on Monday, May 12, at 9/8c.

In addition to 24, FOX has announced premiere dates for two new midseason series. Surviving Jack, the new comedy starring Law & Order: SVU's Christopher Meloni, will premiere Thursday, March 27 at 8:30/7:30c after the American Idol results show. Meanwhile, crime drama Gang Related will premiere Tuesday, May 20, after night one of the two-night American Idol finale.

Now I have reasons -- other than relief from the cold -- to look forward to May.
