'The Force Awakens' Character Names Revealed on 'Star Wars' Trading Cards (PHOTOS)

Even though it's been weeks since the first trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens was released, we still don't know a whole lot about the plot or the characters themselves.

However, that's starting to change, as we now know the names of some of the characters that will be taking center stage in the film, due for release next December.

The names have been revealed via retro Star Wars trading cards, unveiled to Entertainment Weekly by director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.

Although the collectible trading cards don't yet reveal the characters played by Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie, or screen legend Max von Sydow - nor do they show franchise veterans Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, or Carrie Fisher, it's still nice to be able to put names to the faces of the characters played by John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, and Oscar Isaac. It's also good to know what that funky-looking soccer droid is called, to say nothing of the mysterious figure in the snow with the crossguard lightsaber (perhaps Nyong'o or Christie?).

So who is Kylo Ren? Who is Rey? Finn? Poe Dameron? BB-8?

Check out the look at the collectible cards below, complete with character names:
