Flowers in the Attic - Extended Trailer - Video

Flowers in the Attic, the controversial 1979 novel by V.C. Andrews about a brother and sister who fall in love, was adapted into a film in 1987. Twenty-seven years later, it's time for Lifetime to get in on that twisted action.

The extended trailer for the Lifetime adaptation of Flowers in the Attic illustrates the dark tone of the book, which features rape and other forms of abuse, in addition to the controversial incest plots. There's no real way to tell just yet whether Lifetime will incorporate all those elements from the original book, or if certain storylines will be toned down. As it stands now, this is Lifetime's most buzzed-about property, although possibly for the wrong reasons, as critics debate whether this will be a surprisingly good film or a complete disaster in the mold of Liz and Dick. The film stars Heather Graham, Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn, and Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka. You can watch the full, extended trailer below:
