Fleur East sings 'If I Ain't Got You' on The X Factor UK 2014 (VIDEO)

Fleur East sang 'If I Ain't Got You' on The X Factor UK Live Show 8 on November 29, 2014.

This is another song that probably needs to be retired from shows like this. Maybe the overdone nature of the song is why I didn't care for this as much as I might have had Fleur sang something else. There's a husky, smoky quality to her voice that makes her sound like she's been transported here from a different era altogether, and that should have made this a perfect fit for her. And don't get me wrong, she did sing this well. But I almost feel like she should try a bluesier song in the future, if she manages to stick around. She's a hell of an onstage performer, to be sure, but I think she's capable of much more with her vocals. This wasn't bad or anything, but it just didn't come across as well as it probably should have.

But what do you think of Fleur East?
