Flavor Flav Arrested on Way to Mother's Funeral

Poor Flavor Flav is not having a good 2014. On his way to his mother's funeral, Flav was pulled over for speeding and arrested for driving with a suspended license and possession.

Flav -- real name William Drayton -- was busted yesterday (Jan. 9) for speeding, going 79 mph in a 55 mph zone. After officers pulled him over they discovered a tiny amount of marijuana on his person.

Even worse, when they checked his record he had a whopping 16 license suspensions.

As a result, he was arrested, cited for speeding and "charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of marijuana."

Police however took pity on the fact that he was on his way to his mother's funeral at the time and gave him a "desk appearance ticket" so he could appear at the funeral and say his goodbyes to his mother Anna Drayton, who passed away on Dec. 31.

The former hype-man is expected back in court on Jan. 28.
