FlashForward - Revelation Zero - Recap

Mark's FlashForward Since being suspended from the FBI, Mark is ordered to start seeing a therapist to help him deal with his many issues. But angry Joseph Fiennes is so much fun to watch. She determines that alcohol was only a small factor in why Mark was having trouble remembering his vision. She gives him a drug to help him remember clearly the missing pieces from his vision. He remembers some more random pictures we don't know the meanings of yet, and more importantly, the phone call. The person on the other end is finally revealed to be Lloyd. Mark doesn't sound happy to hear from him and basically wishes he had killed him already and then tells him to go to hell. Not much to go on but from what I gather, the two of them still aren't friends but will end up working together.
Nicole and her mom? Nicole is still struggling with her vision and trying to reapply it to atonement. To avoid possibly being punished by God in the future, she's trying to be a good girl while she can. She attends a faith seminar run by a simple man who has renewed faith since the black out and has made it his mission to help all those that he can. He argues that the visions were not examples of free will vs fate, but free will AND fate. Instead of being drowned, he offers up the explanation that maybe Nicole was being baptized. It's a nice theory but i'm not so sure i'm buying it just yet. What was up with Nicole's mom and the pennies? Is that a clue? Can her mother determine the difference between her own hallucinations and her flashforward?
Is Simon a good guy? I emotionally flip flopped for Simon over and over again tonight. Every time I wanted to trust him he tricked us again. We learned tonight that Simon is Subject Zero. He's too little! Was he simply in the wrong place at the wrong time? Was he tricked and blackmailed into this experiment? As a child prodigy, it seems that good old Uncle Teddy latched on to Simon pretty early in life. It doesn't seem like Simon knew what exactly would happen when he and Lloyd did what they did, but whatever it was amplified what the bad guys were doing. Why did the ring stop him from blacking out? What kind of uncle kills family members to get information? I have never wanted a character to die as much as I did Uncle Teddy.
Who is behind it all? We know Uncle Teddy and D. Gibbons are up there on the blackout food chain but who do they answer to? Why would they want the entire world to blackout? What are they trying to accomplish? Why do they need Simon and Lloyd for all their data? Are they close to another breakthrough? Is the breakthrough a second blackout?
I loved this episode. I thought it really showed a solid effort at grabbing our attention. There were well placed reveals and a lot of action packed scenes. I hope next week we get more clues about Mark's phone call and more situations where Lloyd is emotional. I enjoy his accent.
