FlashForward - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Recap

While Aaron roams around Afghanistan looking for Tracy and putting himself in the middle of gunfire constantly, things are much more interesting closer to home. We're treated to a flashback of Janis joining the FBI and becoming the person she is today. She's always been best buds with Demetri and he's always been a sweetheart, helping her make a name for herself. Janis is approached as early as two years before the blackout to become a mole for an organization outside the FBI and hesitantly accepts. They've been forcing her to do the typical mole work including stealing evidence. Mark and co. have been investigating blueprints for a mysterious device whose functions are unknown until they request the help of an antiquities professor. He lets them know that it's a very ancient clock from longggg ago predicting for whatever reason, the date of the blackout. Janis breaks into Mark's office to steal these blueprints back for the bad guys and he catches her. She uses her pregnancy as an excuse for her actions and he stupidly believes her.
Olivia is getting ready for what she hopes is a normal day when she is startled by crazy Gabriel; the mental patient from last week who just happens to be sitting in her kitchen. He shows up to tell her she's been making the wrong choices in her life and starts spouting out examples of proof of how long he's known her. She starts to freak out and call for help just as he warns her not to buy coffee that morning from a guy who looks like Mr. Clean. As soon as Olivia gets to work, a man is hit by a car who looks just like, you guessed it, Mr. Clean. Did Gabriel see this in a FlashForward?
Olivia goes through her old photo albums and discovers that Gabriel is in the background of a bunch of them. Creepy. Did they ever interact? She visits an old abandoned psychiatric hospital with one of Mark's co workers and once again, Gabriel appears to make her pee her pants. This guy is obviously just misunderstood. Gabriel informs them about the experiments Dr. Dyson Frost performed on them, the saavants, for an extended period of time. The experiments forced them to have flashforwards and because of their amazing memories, they were told to write down everything they remembered. And because Dyson was such a nice guy, he wanted to kill them all once he was done. Gabriel tells Olivia she was always in the visions he had but it seems he was seeing an alternate path. A path where Olivia did ineed go to Harvard and actually did marry Lloyd. Are the paths crossing?
Janis wanted to get out of the group as soon as the blackout happened and she realized the magnitude of what she got herself into. Well duh! The stress of everything is endangering her pregnancy and things get worse for her when Mark solves one of Dyson's riddles. Dyson tells Mark he will be saved by the lady he sees everyday. Instead of it being Janis or Olivia, it's the Queen chess piece hanging on the mosaic. Mark crushes it to reveal inside one of those silver rings that prevents the wearer from blacking out. He enlists the help of Lloyd and Simon to help figure out the ring. What a room full of people you can't trust Mark. Janis is then revealed to be a double agent for the bad guys and the CIA with Vogel recruiting her. Is Janis a good guy after all?
