Flashforward - Future Shock - Recap

Aaron gets his wish when apparently Tracy didn't die enough last week. She opens her eyes and Aaron gets his wish at seeing his daughter open her eyes and smile at him. Seemingly Tracy would still die of her injuries but we're going to assume she lives because we have no other choice. Hmph.

Bryce apparently forgets everything he felt and said to Nicole last week and blows her off to find the random Japanese girl he doesn't even know. You have to feel for a very upset Nicole who is left standing, crying in the parking lot. Bryce eventually finds Keiko in that damn restaurant after some bribery and airport violence and I guess they'll live a happy existence together. With very little communication.

Nicole drives home with tears in her eyes and gets in a car accident. Damn you Bryce! She crashes into a lake or something and starts to drown until her very own white knight (a soft spoken Ed) saves her life. I hope they have a happy little life together as well since Bryce pulled a real douche move on Nicole. But again, I'll never know because Abc sucks.

Annnnd moving on. Stan gets mark out of jail just in time to discover a couple of well placed bombs inside the FBI building. You'd think they would have evacuated that place hours earlier. Or even that Mark would be walking around with a bulletproof vest seeing as you just knew he'd be stubborn and run into the building anyway. Hellinger has infiltrated the swat team and the same group of bad guys with guns make their way into the FBI offices to kill Mark before the explosions go off. Stan and that other co worker stay inside to help Mark get out safely and the three of them end up in a pretty tense gun fight. Stan had a cell phone. Why didn't he call for back up? There were a ton of cops outside who probably could have saved their asses.

Dem and Simon make it into the NLAP building where Simon sets out to stop anymore harm happening unto the world. He succeeds for awhile before Dem gets gun happy and things get strange with the blackout machine. While all this is happening, Janis collapses in the parking lot and goes to the hospital. Her doctor informs her she's fine but the baby is a boy. Janis isn't disappointed. A baby Demetri. Simon is shocked when the accelerator turns on again and another blackout begins to take shape.

Lloyd and Olivia come closer to their visions coming true. Olivia spends the beginning of the episode hiding from Lloyd at the beach but he's quite the creepy stalker tonight and he finds her. He pleads with her to at least let him and Dylan go to her house so he can solve the equation and she gives in. When Dylan writes a complicated formula on her mirror, Olivia switches it up. She sits on the bed with Lloyd and sounds like she's been hypnotized by his dreamy accent. She tells herself to stop fighting the fate that seems to have found her and makes out with Lloyd. In between kisses he figures out that the formula predicts the next blackout to be in the next two days.

Mark is still fighting for his life in his office but is still able to figure out the precise time of the next blackout. With the help of Gabriel's crazy antics from a previous episode, Mark figures out that the next blackout is in 14 minutes. Not much time to save the world but they sure try. The president alerts the world to try and prepare and Mark calls his wife to say goodbye. He kills the last remaining men and runs towards the windows just as the bombs and blackout are about to occur. Is he thinking of jumping out the window? He's nowhere near the bottom floor.

But that's the cliffhanger we get. We see visions of the year 2015. Everyone's older and having new experiences. In the midst of all of it, we see a much older and rough looking Charlie turning around and declaring "They found him." Is Mark going to be missing for like..5 years? How will he be found? We'll probably never know because, if you haven't noticed, ABC doesn't like us.

This was an amaaaazing season finale. The kind of cliffhanger that annoys you in a good way. It was in no way a series finale and gave us no closure whatsoever. I urge ABC to reconsider. And I urge all fans of the show to write to ABC on their website and try other addresses like this. It could make a real difference. Who knows? Come on ABC. Show us you don't suck.
