'The Flash' Puts Together a 'Prison Break' Reunion by Casting Dominic Purcell

If you loved FOX's mid-2000s series Prison Break, you were probably stoked to learn that star Wentworth Miller would be joining The CW's upcoming drama The Flash in the role of Leonard Snart/Captain Cold. But now you'll have even more of a reason to get stoked, as the series is putting together a Prison Break reunion of sorts by casting his former co-star Dominic Purcell as well.

Purcell will join the cast in the 10th episode of the Arrow spinoff as Mick Rory, "a pyromaniac who finds an outlet for his obsession with fire when he teams up with Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Miller) and becomes the villain known as Heatwave."

This will be the first time Purcell and Miller will have shared screen time together since Prison Break came to an end in 2009. They played brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield on the FOX series for four seasons. As a fan of the show, it's kind of hard to believe that 1) it's been six years since the show ended, and 2) they haven't had any screen time together whatsoever since then. They were one of the few genuinely believable sibling pairings on TV (casting so often gets it wrong in finding two people who can believably be siblings that Purcell and Miller were like a breath of fresh air). I can't wait to see how this Prison Break reunion plays out.

The Flash will premiere on October 7 on The CW. Get hyped!
