First Look at Matt Ryan as NBC's 'Constantine' - Photo

Still not tired of TV adaptations of comic book properties? Well, you're in luck, as NBC, Warner Bros/ and DC Entertainment have unveiled the first image of actor Matt Ryan as the iconic character John Constantine for NBC's upcoming pilot Constantine.

“I’ve been a fan of John Constantine since he was first introduced in 1985. This Constantine, envisioned by Neil Marshall and embodied by Matt Ryan, looks like he sprang directly from the comics’ covers. Fans old and new are going to be in for a treat,” said executive producer David S. Goyer.

The series follows the enigmatic and irreverent Liverpool con-man-turned-occult-detective, who is reluctantly thrust into the role of defending our world against dark forces from beyond. John Constantine has been featured in hundreds of comic book issues. Most famously, Keanu Reeves played the role in the 2005 film adaptation, Constantine, which made over $230 million worldwide.
