First Look at Allison Williams as Peter Pan in 'Peter Pan Live!' (PHOTO)
Allison Williams made headlines when NBC announced that the Girls star had been cast in the title role for its upcoming live musical, Peter Pan Live!, based on the 1954 stage production. Fast-forward a couple months later, and we're finally getting our first look at Williams in the role.
In the first look photo, Williams dons the green tunic with hints of mesh underneath, and some pretty sweet boots to tie the whole outfit together. She's also rocking a wig, in lieu of getting a pixie cut for the role, as Williams confirmed on Instagram, "I was all ready to cut my hair, then was told by the folks who actually know what they’re doing that a wig works better for everybody."
NBC is hoping lightning will strike twice after the insane ratings success of last year's The Sound of Music Live! starring Carrie Underwood (who recently announced her first pregnancy with husband Mike Fisher). However, this production is a bit more complicated, as it features some high-wire flying. But Williams seems more than game for all the work, as evidenced by this sneak peek at rehearsal released via Williams's Instagram account. The big show isn't until Dec. 4, but you can get your first look at Allison Williams as Peter Pan below:
