'Firefly' Cast to Reunite for 'Firefly Online'
Firefly is returning! But not in the way anyone might have expected. The cult sci-fi hit from the 2002-2003 TV season that FOX canceled (because of course they did) is being resurrected -- as an online videogame, titled Firefly Online.
Firefly Online is described as an "online strategic roleplaying game" in which "players take on the role of a ship captain as they hire a crew and lead missions, while trading with and competing against millions of other players like themselves." The news was announced at San Diego Comic-Con, where it was also confirmed that the cast would reunite to reprise their characters for the game, with Alan Tudyk playing multiple roles. In addition to lead stars such as Nathan Fillion, the game will also have Michael Fairman as the crime lord Niska, who apparently has several job openings (perhaps a vacancy players will be able to fill?).
