Pixar Reveals Details About 'Finding Dory' the 'Finding Nemo' Sequel

Pixar has begun to reveal details about the upcoming Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory, set for a 2016 release -- specifically the setting which is somehow not the ocean.

Or at least not primarily set in the ocean, even though it's a film about CGI fish.

During the Comic Con Experience in Brazil, it was revealed that the film is set several months after the events of the first family-friendly creation and will follow Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) as she attempts to find her family.

Pixar would go on to reveal that the majority of the movie also takes place at the Marine Biology Institute of California, "a huge rehabilitation complex for marine and aquarium life."

"Dory learns that there she was born and raised and was released in the ocean still young."

Joining DeGeneres will be Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton as Dory's parents, Ty Burrell as a beluga whale along with Idris Elba and Domenic West.

Finding Dory is set to hit theatres on June 17, 2016.
