'Finding Carter' Renewed for a Second Season

MTV is bringing back its biggest new hit.

The network has renewed Finding Carter for a 12-episode second season. The series centers on Carter (Reign alum Kathryn Prescott), a teenage girl who learns that the woman she believes to be her mother had actually abducted her when she was just a child.

Since premiering last month, the show has been a pretty huge hit for MTV, considering that this is a network that doesn't frequently dabble in original, scripted dramas (well, beyond the success of Teen Wolf). The show is the No. 1 new drama on cable among viewers 12-34, which illustrates the wide appeal Finding Carter has.

“The creative minds behind Finding Carter did an exceptional job bringing this story to life and drawing our audience in,” said Susanne Daniels, President of MTV Programming. “I’m looking forward to another season following Carter on her journey.”

And so, presumably, are its fans. But are you one of them? Sound off in the comments!
