Someone Stole 'The Fault in Our Stars' Bench in Amsterdam

If you've seen The Fault in Our Stars (based on the even more fabulous book by John Green) you may recall a heart-wrenching yet romantic scene that takes place on a park bench in Amsterdam.

And apparently that park bench has been stolen. Or disappeared.

Maybe it's a metaphor. It's a metaphor isn't it?

According to the Associated Press, the bench used to sit on the Leidsdegracht but has been missing for at least a month and most likely went unnoticed because someone replaced it with a large flower pot.

You know, because flower pots and benches look so similar.

Said city spokesperson Stephan van der Hoek, "It's a bit embarrassing, because we do keep good track of them, but it's gone all right."

"Keep your eyes on eBay," he jokingly concluded.
