'Fast & Furious 7' Release Date Moved Up

Initially, the release of Fast & Furious 7 was delayed by a year following the tragic death of star Paul Walker. However, the movie is actually on track to come out earlier than expected.

Universal Pictures has announced that the 2015 release date of Fast & Furious 7 has been moved up by a week, from April 10 to April 3, 2015.

The movie was intended to be released this summer, but Walker's death in a car crash last November caused the film to be placed on hold while the studio scrambled to decide what to do with one of their most lucrative franchises. Ultimately, Walker's brothers served as stand-ins for reshoots to help complete their late brother's role in the film.

In addition to the late Walker, Fast & Furious 7 will also star returnees Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, and franchise newcomers Kurt Russell and Jason Statham.
