'Fast & Furious 7' Gets New Title, New Poster, and Trailer Premiere Date
Fast and Furious 7 is one of the most anticipated films of 2015, but it's already undergone some pretty significant changes.
However, its latest is a bit of a head-scratcher: a new title.
Fast & Furious 7 is no longer Fast & Furious 7. It is now...
Furious 7
The new title was revealed when the franchise's Facebook page posted the film's official poster, complete with the abbreviated title.

While the new title might seem needlessly truncated, it's actually not that strange, considering this is franchise that has given us titles such as 2 Fast 2 Furious and Fast 5.
Of course, this is hardly the first major change for the franchise. The tragic death of series star Paul Walker was the most significant change, as his death led to a delayed release date and a complete reworking of the direction the film was to take. However, Universal Pictures was confident enough in the film's progress that they recently moved the release date up, meaning the film will now release this coming April. And that's not all worth getting excited over, as it has been announced that the official trailer for Furious 7 will premiere this Saturday during a live streaming event, The Road to Furious 7: Trailer Launch Event at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
What do you think of the title? Yea or nay? If nay, what would you have called it? Sound off in the comments!
